Conversion, remodelling and refurbishment of a period property located in a conservation area in Kensington.

This property in North-West London began life as a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO).
It had greatly suffered from years of neglect. Divided into bed-sits over four stories, the property had been empty for many years and required complete refurbishment, a residential architect’s attention.
Having successfully presented the proposal to the Kensington Planning and Conservation Departments for the conversion into seven residential units, the property has been brought back into active use.
The proposal included major works to the internal and external fabric, including structural alterations, new stairs, sash windows, works to elevations, garden and provision of new services throughout.
The results are stylish, yet affordable, accommodation and the rehabilitated building.
